Designer jewelry starts with someone taking the time to learn how create the simplest pieces from stitches. As you develop your skill, your creativity takes over. This webpage hopes to teach you some of the stitches that will get you on your way to becoming a jewelry designer.

Design instructions are copyrighted; stitches are not. The examples below will give you directions for a design using a stitch. Feel free to use the stitch. Please ask for permission to use the design instructions.

One tutorial listed here gives additional instructions on how to use patterns generated by DB Bead, a free pattern making software available from Damian Brunold. The pattern used in the example was one created by a beader who wanted to thank Yahoo beading groups members for their help teaching bead crochet.

Have fun with the stitches and experiment. Use different colors, sizes, and number of beads to make the final design your own.
