Amethyst Beaded Bead EarringsI had made bracelets based upon the pattern written by Jenjen Bai and published by Bead & Button Magazine that used beaded beads. Wanting earrings to match, I designed these. These earrings combine amethyst stone beads, tiny gold beads, and green Swaroski crystals for a spring time look. The stone druk beads, with gold 15/0 beads and green Swarovski crystals have an entirely different look, and match a bracelet for sale here. Combining stones, crystal, and high-quality seed beads creates a blended design. The stones are 6mm amethyst stone druks and are used in the beaded beads. The dangle at the bottom of the earring is a large 8mm green Swarovski crystal bicone. The beaded beads also use 4 mm green Swaroski crystals. The tiny gold beads are high-quality Miyuki 15/0 seed beads. Along with the stone beads, these different sized beads are woven together using 6 lb. test crystal Fireline, a beading thread known for its durablity and strength. Once the beaded beads are created, I hung them on 20 gauge 14 kt gold-filled wires. The ball and post earring finding is also 14 kt gold-filled. Earrings measure 1 3/4" from the top of the ball and post finding to the bottom of the 8 mm Swarovski crystal. The earrings are lightweight enough to be worn all day and all night without taxing you.
